Bright Minds Whyte Ave Daycare is a licensed daycare in Edmonton, Alberta that started operation in July 2021. Our centre is a family-owned business dedicated to keeping children safe, clean, nurtured, and happy. Our Program Director is Aurelio Sumalinog. He is a Second Class Power Engineer and holder of Level 3 ECE Certificate. His wife Virginia Sumalinog, a retired School Teacher of Catholic School Board in Edmonton and holder of ECE Level 3 Certificate. In 2015 they decided to focus on their passion for early childhood education that they started in 2010. They have been in this business for 14 years having owned Northland Daycare, Kindervillage Preschool and Ellwood Daycare and OSC. They have 4 children namely: Miguel-Aircraft Maintenance Tech graduate; Maria Isabel- a school teacher; Elvira -Senior Engineering Analyst in Paris, France and Rafael- a Medical Doctor in Vancouver British Columbia.
Our goal is to promote healthy development and diversity in a welcoming environment where children can develop lifelong learning. We incorporate all aspects of learning through play and exploration.
At Bright Minds Daycare, we let the child be the scriptwriter, the director, and the actor in his own play. We mainly focus on:
