Bright Minds Whyte Ave Daycare is a licensed daycare in Edmonton, Canada that started operation in July 2021. Our center is a family-owned business dedicated to keeping children safe, clean, nurtured, and happy. Our Program Director is Aurelio Sumalinog. He is a second-class power engineer and holds a Level 3 ECE certificate. His wife, Virginia Sumalinog, is a retired School Teacher of the Catholic School Board in Edmonton and holder of an ECE Level 3 Certificate. In 2015 they decided to focus on their passion for early childhood education, which they started in 2010. They have been in this business for 14 years, having owned Northland Daycare, Kindervillage Preschool Ellwood Daycare, and OSC. They have 4 children, namely: Miguel-Aircraft Maintenance Tech graduate; Maria Isabel- a school teacher; Elvira -a Senior Engineering Analyst in Paris, France and Rafael- a Medical Doctor in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Our goal is to promote healthy development and diversity in a welcoming environment where children can develop lifelong learning. We incorporate all aspects of learning through play and exploration.
At Bright Minds Daycare, we let the child be the scriptwriter, the director, and the actor in his own play. We mainly focus on:
